“Intelligent Devices increase the gap
between rich and poor, powerful and weak”
This concept is representing how intelligent devices can
extract resources from poor and give it to rich and powerful.
The above sketch shows two sides of coin one were poor are
getting poorer and more dependent on the rich and the other side where rich and
powerful are getting more rich and powerful,
DESCRIPTION
This installation will be based on the same idea
of the picture shown.
We will have a pot that will have two points
with taps attached. One can only be accessed by poor people and one can be used
by rich and powerful.
Obviously the resources will flow the same way
water flows, i.e. from top to bottom.
We will use water in that pot and that will represent
resources like oil and gas, electricity and water etc.
Context of use
We will use it close to Aqua coolers and water fountains
where users can interact with it.
They can choose to act as poor or rich to use certain tap to
take out drinking water.
We will put signs up to attract more users and hopefully in
the process we can evoke their reflection of our theses.

This concept is representing how intelligent devices can shift
the balance of resources. It can make rich, richer and poor, poorer.
The above sketch shows how people with intelligent devices
actually control the poor and how poor are always dependent on rich. This also
shows how they can help rich get richer and more powerful.
This shows the present balance of the society that 1% of the
rich control 99% of the poor in the world.
DESCRIPTION
This installation will be based on the same idea
of the picture shown.
We will use a scale with some sort of smart or
intelligent device in one side of the scale and poor of the world in the other.
This also shows the flow of the resources which will
flow from top to bottom.
Context of use
We will use this in public places like parks and bus stops
and etc.
We will put signs up to attract more users and hopefully in
the process we can evoke their reflection of our theses.

“Intelligent Devices increase the gap
between rich and poor, powerful and weak”
This concept is representing how intelligent devices are
becoming more powerful and can increase the gap between the rich and the poor.
The above sketch shows how weak are becoming insignificant
and are looked down upon if they don’t have these intelligent devices. For
example if you don’t have Facebook account than you are not cool etc.
This also shows how People with intelligent devices actually
control the poor and how poor are always dependent on rich. This also shows how
powerful technologies can make you rich and powerful.
DESCRIPTION
This installation will be based on the same idea
of the picture shown.
We will use winning stands like blocks and make
a tall one with some sort of representation of powerful devices. Than leave a
gap and have few smaller blocks after some space.
Context of use
We will use this in public places like parks and bus stops
and etc.
We will put signs up to attract more users and hopefully in
the process we can evoke their reflection of our theses.

Skill testing Vending Machine

“"Our modern built environment deskills
its inhabitants".

This concept is representing how modern built devices are
making people lazy, dependent on them and losing their basic skills.
This concept focuses on calculation skills but also evoke
people’s reflection on how people are becoming more and lazy and dependent on
these modern built environments. For this pictures of Homer Simpsons are used
with some others.
DESCRIPTION
This Installation will look like a drinks
vending machine and give away free drinks if user answers 20 simple calculation
questions in 60 sec.
He is allowed to make only one error and will
have three chances at a free cold drink.
It will be voice activated that mean one member
of the team has to be in inside and he will use an Iphone camera looking at the
user from the inside. Once a member of the team sees a user coming to the
machine he greets them and tells them the rules of the game and gives them the
game in Ipad to play.
After they successfully answer all the questions
they will win themselves a free drink.
Context of use
We will use this in public places like Shopping centres and
bus stops, where there are vending machines.
